It’s April! Have You Changed Your Passwords?
Remember the golden rule. One Password PER Login. NOT one password for multiple logins. It’s also a good idea to change your password every 60 days. And remember – there is nothing gained by sharing a password except problems and privacy.
I got “tagged” – Phishing Email
If you receive an email stating “You’ve been tagged in a photo”, but you don’t have a Facebook account – it’s yet another Phishing email. Don’t open it, don’t click on the link – simply delete the email.
If you own a Facebook account, you can turn off the setting which notifies you of every time you have been “tagged” to reduce the amount of emails you receive.
Google Yourself!
Remember to “google” yourself periodically. Visit google.com, and type in “your name” (quotation marks, the proper spelling of your name, closed quotation marks). If you have a common surname, add other queries. For example
“john smith”, ABC company, City Name
“angie marks”, ABC school, year
Keep in “the know” of what is available to the public
DON’T POST PERSONAL PICTURES ONLINE
THIS IS JUST A REMINDER POST!
YOU’VE HEARD ME SPEAK AT EVENTS ABOUT THIS..

(CNN) — If you use Google, and I know you do, you may have noticed a little banner popping up at the top of the page announcing: “We’re changing our privacy policy and terms.” It gives you the choice to “Learn More” or, another option, the one I’m betting most people followed, to “Dismiss.”
